The Game of Spheres, (De Ludo Globi)

This exhibition of new work by Margarita Georgiadis, The Game of Spheres, explores with painting, the illusion of universal truths, mythical realities and infinite impossibilities. In summary, and borrowing from the Tao Te Ching philosophy, Georgiadis’ paintings are a visual representation of the alternation of non-Being and ‘Being’ that produces the marvel of the one and the boundaries of the other.

What happens when illusive reality is regulated by boundaries of the canvas? When the “true” infinite can only become manifest by being condensed into finite form? All we have are fragments, like film stills without a narrative other than an infinite continuum; a game of spheres.
