About the Prize.

rex-livingston art dealer, in association with Mount Eyre Vineyards have initiated the Mount Eyre Vineyards Art Prize. Art, like wine, is full of mystery and character; in this way, they are inseparable. They are born a product of the society we live in, whilst continuing to evolve in their complexity over time.

This unique partnership gives entrants the chance to win the first prize of $8000 and also the opportunity to have the winning artwork featured on a wine label for a limited edition blend made exclusively by Mount Eyre Vineyards.

Mount Eyre Vineyards combines a European family tradition of winemaking with a modern Australian approach to wine. From their Greco-Roman roots, the Tsironis and Iannuzzi families have an unbroken involvement in wine extending back decades, tilling their vines and offering wine to friends and visitors alike.

Mount Eyre Vineyards have always cultivated the relationship between wine and art, initially as collectors and label design, and now through this art prize. The intention is to see this prize evolve into an important and anticipated event in the Sydney art calendar.
